Why I got married

I mean why wouldn’t I?? Planning the biggest, best, and happiest party all for me. I mean the venue, the caterer, menu, cake, dress, photos, my girls being bridesmaids, I got to pick the dresses, the tuxes, they threw me parties, bachelorette party, engagement party, bridal shower, and so much more. I mean the invites, the decorations, the schemes, colors, the planning, the process. I absolutely loved it and I still love it. It is harder finding a job planning a wedding then getting a job planning any other event. I love planning weddings, baby showers, bday parties, bridal showers, engagement parties, wedding showers, and rehearsal dinners more than corporate events and yet what do you think pays more??? Corporate events pay a lot of money but I am not as passionate about it. There’s a lot of event planners who wont touch weddings or anything to do with them. They say it’s harder because the bride is so picky. But I mean come on of course the bride is picky. She or whomever is dishing out thousands of dollars for one day and of course it has to be perfect. Although here’s a little secret it is never perfect. Something and I do mean something always goes wrong. The best part it doesn’t matter because you spend over a year planning the perfect day and when the day arrives and that one thing goes wrong it doesn’t matter. There is usually nothing to be done by that point, so it doesn’t matter. Nobody even notices and years later it becomes a fond memory. I hope I get back to planning weddings, engagement parties, bridal showers, wedding showers, bachelorette parties, Bachelor parties, rehearsal dinners, baby showers, sweet sixteen, and all the best kind of events (to me anyways). Until then I am not sure where I left off with the planning process so I will start over. Check out my next post titled ” AND SO IT BEGINS…” That blog post will have a time line for 15-12 months out. So basically you are engaged OMG but wait what next???
